The College of Health Sciences at the University of Missouri – Columbia (MU) seeks applicants for two, full-time non-tenure track Assistant Teaching Professor faculty positions in the Department of Health Sciences (DHS). Appointment for the position will begin August 1, 2024. Specialty areas desired include but are not limited to health care management, health policy, and leadership. Responsibilities will include teaching health sciences courses, development of new curriculum, and service to meet the Department/School/University missions.

Qualified candidates will have earned a doctorate level degree prior to appointment.

Candidates will be evaluated on their:

  • teaching experience with both in person and online class formats
  • ability to teach core courses in the department
  • ability to develop new courses to prepare undergraduate students

Housed within the DHS, the Bachelor of Health Science in Health Sciences (BHS in HS) is one of the largest undergraduate degree programs at MU campus and offers a flexible, non-clinical curriculum designed to provide students a broad overview of health and health care, preparing them for both direct entrance into health-related careers or for graduate training in health professions.e are looking for candidates who will be passionate about working with interdisciplinary colleagues to prepare tomorrow’s health professionals with exemplary education.
