  • Analyze the economic, budgeting, and financial impacts of changes in healthcare programs and reimbursements methods.

Job Description

The Senior Financial Analyst will research and analyze the economic, budgeting, and financial impacts of issues associated with changes in the government's health care programs, delivery mechanisms and reimbursement methods within the Military Health System (MHS) and Veterans Health Administration (VHA). This work will include review of the government’s requirements, review and analysis of pertinent data, constructing cost-estimate models, and dissemination of results to clients. Familiarity with either the MHS or VHA is strongly preferred; familiarity with health insurer operations is also valuable. Excellent written communication skills are essential.

 

Desired Skills and Expertise

The qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, Public Health, Public Policy, or a related field. Experience working with spreadsheets is required and experience with database software (e.g. SAS) is desirable. Strong technical skills, excellent written communication skills, and a positive team attitude are required.  An ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of relevant experience. United States Citizenship is also required.
