The Cornell Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy invites applications for a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer position. We seek candidates who can teach microeconomics, statistics, and/or data science courses at the introduction and intermediate levels to undergraduate students and professional masters students. Lecturers/ Senior Lecturers are responsible for classroom teaching and its related activities including meeting with students during regularly scheduled office hours, preparing and grading assignments and examinations, and contributing to the design, syllabi, and organization of course offerings. This is a 9- month full-time appointment on-site presence based in Ithaca New York for at least two years with possibility of renewal, title to be commensurate with experience and qualifications. The position would begin in mid-August 2025.

 

Qualifications: The successful candidate will have earned a PhD (or will soon earn a PhD) in economics and can demonstrate evidence of ability to teach at the university level. Senior Lecturer title will be considered for an applicant with at least 6 years of full-time equivalent experience in a comparable role.
