The Joseph R. Biden Jr. School of Public Policy and Administration at the University of Delaware is seeking applications for a two-year visiting assistant professor, to begin summer or fall 2025. We seek scholars whose research advances knowledge of democracy, democratic institutions, citizen participation, democratic practices, and public policy or administration. The successful candidate will contribute to the SNF Ithaca Initiative through teaching, research, and engagement and will be expected to contribute to the educational mission of the Biden School. Special consideration will be given to those who also contribute to one or more of the Biden School’s areas of strength (listed below).
Ideal candidates will have or demonstrate potential for excellence in research and teaching. Candidates must have a Ph.D. by the time of the appointment. We welcome candidates with doctorates in any relevant field.

Salary, benefits, teaching load, and research support are highly competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. Candidates who currently hold tenure-track appointments at the Assistant Professor level are strongly encouraged to apply.
